Three public visiting dates remain in the Cobourg & Area Museum’s 2026 season. The museum is open Sunday, October 4, then Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, before its seasonal closure.
Remaining dates and hours
- Sunday, October 4: 1–5 p.m.
- Saturday, October 10: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Sunday, October 11: 1–5 p.m.
The museum is at 141 Orr Street, Cobourg, at the corner of Durham and Orr streets. Admission is free; the museum says donations are appreciated.
What is on display
The museum lists two current exhibits for its closing weekends: Cobourg: A Town Built on Dreams! and Can You Hear Me? 150 Years of the Telephone. Its website also links to a digital archive of past local-history stories and exhibit panels for people who cannot visit during the remaining opening times.
The museum describes its regular public season as running from the Victoria Day weekend to the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. The Cobourg Museum Foundation continues to operate after the building closes for the season, but the checked pages do not announce another public opening date after October 11.
No special programme, guided tour, age restriction or accessibility arrangement is stated for these final opening dates on the checked pages. Visitors who need a specific accommodation should confirm it directly with the museum before travelling.
Each remaining opening is also listed in our Cobourg events calendar.
