A result is a snapshot
Weather, runoff and other conditions can change after sampling. Follow current notices and signs even when an earlier report looked reassuring. Public health advises against swimming during rainfall and for 48 hours afterward. Avoid cloudy water and suspected algae blooms.
Choose a no-swimming day when needed
You can still explore downtown, visit a museum or walk permitted waterfront paths. Check whether a notice affects swimming only or closes beach access too. Keep off exposed waterfront structures during dangerous waves or storms.
